Decision 1 of 2nd
August 1991 concerning criteria for expedited processing
of urgent claims taken by the Governing Council of the
United Nations Compensation Commission(UNCC) during its
first session.
Decision 2 of 2nd
August 1991 concerning arrangement for ensuring payments
to the Compensation Fund from future Iraqi oil exports,
was taken by the UNCC Governing Council during its first
session at the 10th meeting.
Decision 3
of 18th October 1991 concerning personal injury and
mental pain and anguish was taken by the UNCC Governing
Council during its second session at the 15th meeting.
Decision 4 of 18th October 1991
concerning business losses of individual eligible for
consideration under the expedited procedures was taken
by the UNCC governing Council during its second session
at the 15th meeting.
Decision 5
of 18th October 1991 concerning guidelines relating to
paragraph 19 of the criteria for expedited processing of
urgent claims. Paragraph 19 provides that the Council
may request an appropriate person, authority or body to
submit claims on behalf of individuals, such as the
Palestinians and stateless, who are not in a position to
have their claims submitted by a government. This
decision was taken by the UNCC Governing Council during
its second session at the 15th meeting.
Decision 6 of 18th October 1991 concerning
arrangement for ensuring payments to the Compensation
Fund was taken by the UNCC Governing Council during its
second session at the 15th meeting.
Decision 7 (revised) of 16th of March 1992
concerning criteria for additional categories of claims
was taken by the Governing Council during its third
session at the 24th meeting. These claims cover the
following: - Criteria for processing of claims of
individuals not otherwise covered. - Criteria for
processing claims of corporations and other entities.
- Criteria for processing claims of governments and
international organizations.
Decision 8
of 24th January 1992 concerning determination of ceiling
for compensation for mental pain and anguish was taken
by the UNCC Governing Council during its fourth session
at the 22nd meeting.
Decision 9
of 6th March 1992 concerning propositions and
conclusions on compensation for business losses was
taken during its fourth session at the 23rd meeting.
Decision 10 of 26th June 1992
concerning the approval of the provisional rules for
claims procedures decided by the UNCC Governing Council
during its sixth session at the 27th meeting.
Decision 11 of 26th June 1992
concerning the eligibility for compensation of members
of the Allied Coalition Armed Forces was taken by the
UNCC Governing council during its sixth session at the
27th meeting.
Decision 12 of
24th September 1992 concerning claims for which
establishing filling deadlines are extended was taken by
the UNCC Governing Council during its seventh session at
the 29th meeting.
Decision 13 of
24th September 1992 concerning further measures to avoid
multiple recovery of compensation by claimants was taken
by the UNCC Governing Council during its seventh session
at the 29th meeting.
Decision 14
of 18th December 1992 concerning the establishment of
the UNCC Committee on Administrative Matters, composed
of Geneva representatives of interested member states of
the Governing Council, was taken by the UNCC Governing
Council during its eighth session at the 31st meeting.
Decision 15 of 18th December 1992
concerning compensation for business losses resulting
from Iraqs unlawful invasion and occupation of Kuwait
where the trade embargo and related measures were also a
cause, was taken by the UNCC Governing Council during
its eighth session at the 31st meeting.
Decision 16 of 18th December 1992 concerning
awards of interest from the date of loss occurred until
the date of payment, was taken by the UNCC Governing
Council during its eighth session at the 31st meeting.
Decision 17 of 23rd March 1994
concerning priority of payment and payment mechanism,
was taken by the UNCC Governing Council at its 41st
meeting.
Decision 18 of 23rd
March 1994 concerning distribution of payments in a
fair, efficient and timely manner, and transparency, was
taken by the UNCC Governing Council at its 41st meeting.
Decision 19 of 24th March 1994
concerning military costs, was taken by the UNCC
Governing Council at its 41st meeting. This decision
confirms that costs the Allied Coalition Forces,
including those of military operations against Iraq, are
not eligible for compensation.
Decision
20 of 26th May 1994 concerning the first
installment of claims for serious personal injury or
death (category B claims), covering 1,119 individual
claims, was taken by the UNCC Governing Council at its
43rd meeting.
Decision 21 of
20th October 1994 Concerning multi-category claims. This
decision provides that any claimant who has selected a
higher amount under category A and has also filed a
category B, C or D claim will be deemed to have
selected the corresponding lower amount under category
A.
Decision 22 of 20th October
1994 concerning the first installment of claims for
departure from Iraq or Kuwait (category A claims),
covering 53,845 individual claims.
Decision 23 of 20th October 1994 concerning the
notification of the Governing Councils intention not to
accept further individual claims (under categories A, B,
C and D) after 1 January 1995.
Decision
24 of 14th December 1994 concerning
multi-category departure claims. This decision addresses
that the circumstances where number claimants filing a
claim in category A had also filed a departure claim
in category C.
